Surprises are fun, but less so when you're trying to get a head count on food and planetarium shows.  Bottom line: RSVP by August 25th, please!

CEREMONY + RECEPTION

We're getting married where we got engaged: the Nebraska State Capitol! After the I Do's, we'll host a reception at Morrill Hall on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. For all of you out-of-towners, that's the University of Nebraska State Museum, featuring displays on the state's natural history--including the world's largest exhibited elephant skeleton!--and the history of the Great Plains. You'll know you're in the right place when you spot the 5,000-pound bronze Woolly Mammoth statue guarding the front doors.

WHERE TO STAY

We have set aside a block of hotel rooms in Lincoln's new Railyard District. Click the link below to reserve at the Hyatt Place for the weekend, or feel free to make any accommodations you'd like.

For our out-of-town friends: PLEASE get in touch with us about where you plan to stay. We want to make it as affordable as possible. While Airbnb is not "officially" allowed in Lincoln, there are some places available.

GETTING AROUND

Our ceremony, reception and after hours are all within walking distance of each other in downtown Lincoln. We recommend enjoying the day the walking way. Or you can try Happy Cab (taxis), Lyft or Uber.

Parking: We have limited parking spots available in front of our reception venue at Morrill Hall that we're reserving for family as-needed. We suggest parking in metered spots, which are free after 6:00pm, or nearby garages downtown, including:

  • Que Place Garage: 1111 Q Street
  • Rampark Parking Garage: 1225 P Street
  • University Square Garage: 101 N 14th Street

REGISTRY

We're currently registered at West Elm and Target.

However, after nearly a decade of dating and a year in a tiny house, the stuff we need most are things like a couch and coffee table, not kitchenware. For that reason, we kindly ask that you consider skipping the registry and giving cash (not quite as fun, but oh so efficient).

Check out our Honeyfund above to donate toward some of the big stuff we really want!

FLYING INTO OMAHA, LINCOLN

If you're flying in from out of town, you've got two options: Eppley Airfield in Omaha and Lincoln's Municipal Airport. If you've done some searching, you'll notice that Omaha is likely cheaper, but it's also about an hour drive from Lincoln. So, you know, choose wisely.

Out-of-Towners: Please don't hesitate to ask for a ride and save on a car rental! We'd love to pick you up and drop you off at the Lincoln or Omaha airport (within reason). We have a Suburban and we plan to use it! Of course, you can always rent a car or Uber, Lyft, taxis, etc.
